My creative journey

Art has always been part of my story.

Long before makeup became my medium, I was a painter. As a little girl, I was known for my artwork, and I continued studying art throughout high school and college. I was also a pianist and theatre kid, eventually writing my college thesis about Cheekwood, one of Nashville’s most beautiful centers for art and culture.

Music has always been part of my story, too. I grew up in a musical household where my father and siblings played instruments, and I learned to play piano in the church my family built. I carried that love for music into adulthood and now share it with my own family. That is one reason Nashville feels so deeply like home to me. It is a city with music at its heart, and that creative spirit continues to shape the way I see beauty and create art.

When I began studying color theory and makeup artistry at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute, it felt like a natural calling. Today, that artistic foundation helps me see color, shape, light, and dimension differently. It allows me to create makeup that feels balanced, intentional, and uniquely tailored to every client.
